  • Can I ride my skateboard on the Ranch?

    No, skateboards, including longboards, are not allowed anywhere on the Ranch. Click here for a full list of Ranch rules and regulations.

  • Are bicycles allowed on the roadway?

    If there is a bike path available, bicycles are to be ridden on the bike path, not the roadways. Bicycles are not allowed on any nature trails. Click here for a full list of Ranch rules and regulations.

  • Are motorcycles and ATV’s allowed on the Ranch?

    No, motorcycles and ATV’s are prohibited behind the gates of the Ranch. Click here for a full list of Ranch rules and regulations.

  • How can I obtain a copy of a police report?

    Click here for a copy of our public records request form. Completed forms can be brought to the police department or mailed. Please note, a fee may be associated with your request. The fee schedule is located on the request form.

  • What number do I call for non-emergency police matters?

    Call the Deschutes County non-emergency dispatch line at 541-693-6911

  • How to I speak directly to a Black Butte Ranch police officer?

    You can call the Officer of the Day directly by dialing 541-668-4058. For all emergency matters, always calls 911.

  • Where can I find the police department's policy manual?

    The most recent copy of the Black Butte Ranch Police Department Policy Manual is available here.

  • How do I reach the Black Butte Ranch Police Business Office?

    Call 541-595-2191 to reach the business office.

  • I’m going on vacation or will otherwise be away from my home for a period of time. Can the police check on my home while I’m gone?

    Please fill out a Vacation Check form to be enrolled in our free Vacation Check program. An officer will make periodic checks of your residence while you are away.

  • I received a Black Butte Ranch fine for a parking violation or for not displaying a parking permit or entry pass. Where do I go to pay this fine?

    BBR fines are paid in the Administrative Building. Please see the receptionist to pay your fine.

  • Where can I dispose of unwanted medications or needles?

    A secure medication disposal bin is located inside the lobby of the police department, as well as a secure needle disposal bin. There is no fee to dispose of unwanted medications or needles.
