Randal Lee Garcia - Board Vice-Chair

Born in Corpus Christy, Texas and raised in the San Francisco Bay area.

Graduated with a BS in Psychology from Loma Linda University and then attended Loma Linda School of Medicine obtaining an MD degree.

Became board certified from a residency in Family Practice from East Tennessee State University, where served as Chief Resident.

Was Emergency Room Director at Pennington Gap Hospital in Virginia.

Was in private practice on the Oregon Coast for 20 years.

Served as Chairman of Quality Assurance at the local hospital.

Currently serve as Head Elder in the local Seventh-day Adventist congregation.

Julie and I have been married for 30 years.  We have 3 children. Our oldest daughter is teaching English at Andrews University.  Our oldest son is currently a missionary in the Philippines teaching the indigenous population of a remote village there.  Our youngest son is currently at Loma Linda University taking dentistry.

We have been vacationing at BBR since the late 1980’s.  We purchased our house here at Black Butte in 1991 and we have been living at the Ranch full time since 2001.
