The Welcome Center keeps found property valued $500 or less.
Items valued at more than $500 will be stored at the Police Department
Seven days per week, 24 hours per day.
BBR is their primary responsibility, however, all of the Central Oregon Police Departments
participate in a mutual aid agreement. You may see them covering for the
Deschutes County Sheriff, Jefferson County or the Oregon State Police. Our police also
offer a presence on the highway near the Ranch entrance to discourage speeding
and/or dangerous driving.
In addition to enforcing the BBR Rules and Regulations, the Ranch Police
enforce Oregon state laws. Each Officer has been through the
Police Academy and maintains training , as do all officers in
certified law enforcement agencies.
