I moved to BBR in 2004 with my wife, Bonnie Asay.  Bonnie has lived on the Ranch for 20 years, and I had lived in Sisters since 1989.  Prior to coming to Central Oregon,  I had started and been involved in the operation of oil, gas, and agriculture businesses in California and lived in the Bay Area.  My son, Gary, and I started Deschutes Brewery in Bend in 1988, and Gary has been solely responsible for the growth and success of the company.  Prior to that I had started and been involved in the operation of oil, gas, and agriculture businesses in California.

I received a BS from Oregon State University in 1951, and MBA from University of California, Berkeley in 1957.
