Curtiss Abbott spent most of his childhood and adult life in California.  He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1972.  He practiced restorative dentistry until May of 2009.  Curtiss and his family have vacationed at Black Butte Ranch for over 25 years.  Curtiss and his wife Jessie-Lea bought their BBR home in 2005 and are now full time residents.  Curtiss enjoys golf, cycling, cross country skiing and has an avid interest in photography.
